Authorities in Philadelphia said I-95 was currently closed in both directions this morning, after a crash overnight killed two Pennsylvania State Troopers and a civilian in South Philly. A report from 6 ABC ACTION NEWS said the accident happened in the Southbound lanes on I-95, near the Stadium Complex north of Broad Street.

The troopers were reportedly making a traffic stop at the time of the accident. Action News Chopper 6 caught video of a procession of police vehicles, including at least 25 cruisers and motorcycles, made its way from the crash scene to the Medical Examiner’s Office with a vehicle carrying the bodies of their fallen comrades, leading the way.
There have been no further details reported about the crash at this time.
