MAN IN STABLE CONDITION AFTER BEING SHOT AT 18 TIMES IN NORTH PHILLY

Philadelphia Police said they are searching for the gunmen responsible for shooting at a man multiple times outside of a North Philly bar on Friday night. PHL-17.com reported that the incident happened at around 10:45 p.m. on the 1600 block of West Hunting Park Avenue.

According to the police report, a 24-year old man was standing outside of the bar, when a silver SUV carrying multiple passengers, drove by and began firing at the victim. Nearby officers heard the shooting and raced to the scene. Police said they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his buttock, leg, and thigh. The victim was rushed to the hospital by police.

The suspects reported fled westbound on Hunting Park Avenue. Officers said they recovered 18 9mm shell casings, 3 copper-jacketed bullets, and one live round at the crime scene. Multiple vehicles in the area were also hit by bullets. The victim was last reported to be in stable condition.

No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
