Former “Empire” star Bryshere Gray is reportedly behind bars after violating his probation. A report from TMZ said Bryshere was on probation after pleading guilty to an aggravated assault case last year. As part of his plea deal, Gray was sentenced to serve 10-days in county jail to be followed by 3 years of probation.
Bryshere’s problems began when a woman who claimed the two were “seeing” each other, called cops in Maricopa, Az. and told them she was concerned for her safety because of Bryshere’s “escalating” behavior. She told cops of multiple instances of abuse at the hands of Bryshere, including him pulling her hair and throwing a box of food at her.
Bryshere was also involved in another domestic dispute related disturbance last month. Bryshere did not inform his probation officer of either of the incidents, which put him in violation of his terms of probation. The probation officer requested a bench warrant to be issued for Bryshere’s arrest after discovering his multiple unreported run-ins with the law. A judge signed the warrant and Bryshere was arrested and taken into custody shortly afterward.
At last reporting, Brayshere was still behind bars awaiting a probation violation hearing.
