A 47-year old, contracted mover who was helping an elderly woman move, was reportedly shot and killed during an argument with a gunman in Southwest Philadelphia on Monday evening. A report from NBC-10 Philly said the incident happened as the contracted mover from Darby was helping an elderly woman move items from a home on the 2500 block of Carroll Street at around 5:45 p.m. on Monday evening.
According to investigators, the suspect was reportedly angry that he couldn’t drive his car down the block due to trash and other items from the move blocking the street. As the mover and suspect argued, the suspect reportedly pulled out a gun and shot the mover once in the chest before fleeing the scene. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other movers who were working the job were not injured. No arrests have been made at this time.
