Veteran Power Forward, Blake Griffin has reportedly signed with the Boston Celtics. A report from ESPN said Griffin’s contract is for 1-year and fully guaranteed.
33-year old, Griffin, has been coming off the bench for the past season and a half. He averaged 6.4 points and 4.6 rebounds a game for the Nets last season. Griffin played a total of 56 games with the Nets last season. He was in Brooklyn’s starting lineup in 24 of those games.
Boston is hoping the addition of Griffin will give them more depth off the bench, after big man Robert Williams III had knee surgery last week, and is expected to be out for at least the next 8-12 weeks. One of Boston’s other key bigs off the bench, Danilo Gallinari, tore an ACL last month playing for Italy in FIBA World Cup. (qualifying game)
