MAN SHOT MULTIPLE TIMES AT CLOSE RANGE IN NORTH PHILLY

A 32-year old man was reportedly shot at close range and killed last night in the North Philly section of the city. A 6 ABC Action News report said the incident happened shortly before midnight on the 3800 block of North Fairhill Street.

First responding officers at the scene said they found the victim lying on the sidewalk when they arrived. The victim was reportedly suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his legs and back. Police rushed the victim to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Investigators found seven shell casings at the scene. All of them just a few feet away from the victim, indicating he was shot at close range, according to police. Witnesses reported seeing three masked men exit a car. One of the masked men allegedly walked up to the victim and began shooting.

No description of the alleged shooter(s) were given. No arrests have been made at this time. Police said an investigation is ongoing.
