Police in Trenton, New Jersey, said they are searching for the person that is responsible for the shooting death of a 9-year old girl during a brawl downtown. According to a report from the ASSOCIATED PRESS, Trenton Police were called to the courtyard at the Kingsbury Square at around 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening, for a reported fistfight and a large crowd gathering in the area.
When police arrived on the scene, they reported finding the girl with a single gunshot wound. The girl was rushed to the New Brunswick Hospital, after initially being taken to Robert Wood Johnson New Brunswick Hospital. She was pronounced dead shortly before midnight.
No other injuries were reported at the scene. No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
