The Villanova Wildcats managed to hold off a tough Houston Cougars team and come out with a 50-44 win last night in San Antonio. With the “W”, Villanova now advances to the Final Four for the third time in the last 6 NCAA Tournaments, according to a report from THE ASSOCIATED PRESS.

Jermaine Samuels had 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners on Saturday. Caleb Daniels added 14 points for Nova’ as they secured the win. This was not a pretty looking game. Villanova shot 28.8% from the field. Houston shot 29.8% from the field and missed their last five shots down the stretch. The Cougars also missed 10 of their last 11 shots from the field, while shooting 1-20 from three point range. It was definitely an ugly game, but Nova’ came out on top at the end.
