Second seed, Villanova Wildcats managed to hold off the #7 seed Ohio State Buckeyes 71-61 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday afternoon. I’ll admit, I didn’t watch the game. This is second hand reporting, but I heard through the grapevine (6 ABC ACTION NEWS), that things got pretty tight when the Buckeyes cut Villanova’s lead that they held wire to wire, to just two points at 60-58 with just 5:39 left in the game.

Thankfully, Ohio State reportedly went ice cold and missed 6 of their last 7 shots from the field. Nova also hit some big buckets down the stretch to put the game away and seal the deal.

Villanova will face the #11 seed Michigan Wolverines in the South Regional next. That game is on Thursday night in San Antonia Texas.
