Massachusetts State Lottery Officials say a man who was gifted a lottery ticket in a “get well” card won the $1 million lottery prize. THE WASHINGTON POST reported that the winner was identified as 62-year old, Alex Mcleish, from Attleboro, Mass.

Mcleish reportedly worked as an auto sales merchandiser for Coca-Cola before receiving the million dollar winning ticket. Mcleish says he was in the hospital on Thanksgiving, recovering from open-heart surgery when he realized he had won on a $5 million “100X Cashword” instant ticket game.
