39-year old, Nicholas Mitchell, from Dover, New Hampshire, was sentenced to four years and nine months in prison on Thursday afternoon. A report from NBC News said, Mitchell was accused of putting razor blades in pizza dough that was sold at supermarkets.
Mitchell was sentenced on Thursday after cutting a deal with prosecutors back in June of this year. He pleaded guilty to one of two counts of tampering with consumer products. He also owes $230,000 in restitution to Hannaford Supermarkets. Court officials said Mitchell’s sentencing went on as scheduled on Thursday, even though Mitchell is currently recovering from a recent battle with Covid-19. He caught Covid while in jail awaiting sentencing.
