A jury found singer R. Kelly guilty on all counts related to his sex trafficking trial, on Monday afternoon. According to 6ABC ACTION NEWS, Kelly’s jury was made up of seven men and five women.

The jury’s decision was made after less than two days of deliberation. Kelly’s lawyers had unsuccessfully argued that the women/girls Kelly were accused of abusing, were “groupies” and “stalkers”, who “knew what they were getting in to.”

Assistant U.S Attorney, Maria Cruz Melendez, argued that Kelly was a serial abuser who “maintained control over his victims using every trick in the predator handbook.” The jury agreed with Ms. Melendez. Kelly is facing at least 20-years in prison when he’s sentenced in this case. He’s also facing sex-related charges in Minnesota and Illinois. No trial date has been set in either case.
