BURLINGTON COUNTY, NEW JERSEY
22-year old Tamir Phillips, of Bensalem, PA, is charged with first-degree murder in the killing of 14-year old, Jesse Everett, of Willingboro, NJ. The shooting happened on Saturday, according to a report from N.J . com.

14-year old, Everett was reportedly at the wheel of a stolen 2014 Honda Accord on Saturday afternoon, when he pulled up to a fuel pump at a gas station in Willingboro, NJ. Prosecutors allege, it was at that point a car pulled in behind the Honda. Someone exited from the passenger’s side of the vehicle, walked up to Everett, and shot him in the head. The two other passengers in the Honda with Everett were unharmed. Authorities say Tamir Phillips was the shooter. After he shot Everett, he went back to the car that was driven by his 29-year old girlfriend, Chelsea Holman, of Willingboro.

Investigators later learned that the car the 14-year old stole, belonged to someone Phillips knew. Phillips’ acquaintance frequently let him use his car. Phillips had Holman drive him around, looking for the car for hours. They eventually spotted the car, and the 14-year old, at the Phillips 66 Gas Station on Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, and pulled in to confront the driver.
Phillips was arrested on Monday morning and charged with murder, and other weapons offenses. His girlfriend, Holman, was arrested and charged with third-degree hindering apprehension and fourth-degree obstruction of justice.
