30-year old, Devin Jones, from Louisiana, was arrested on his wedding night after he injured two people on his wedding night. Jones allegedly shot at his wife’s male friend, while the three were in a car, and stuck in traffic.
KIRO 7 Seattle, reported the incident started when Jones, his newlywed, bride, and her male friend got stuck in traffic on Interstate 10 near the off-ramp to Interstate 310. That was where Jones allegedly shot two people. Police say Jones shot the first person intentionally, but the second person was shot unintentionally. Both victims were taken to the hospital. Both were last reported in stable condition.

St. John Baptist Parish Sheriff, Mike Tegre, said, the incident was domestic in nature. He also said, the newlyweds, who were both still in their wedding outfits, were sitting in their vehicle with another passenger, a male friend of the bride. Jones suspected the two were having an affair, or had sex together at some point in time. Jones and the male friend began arguing verbally. Police say the verbal squabble quickly took a turn for the worst, when Jones pulled out a gun. The man jumped out of the car and ran. Jones gave chase as the man weaved through the unmoving traffic. The friend was shot in the leg. The bride jumped out of the car and managed to flag down an ambulance. She told medics that her husband was trying to kill her. Jones saw his wife run to the ambulance and shifted his focus to her. He was attempting to force his way into the ambulance when police arrived and arrested him. Jones was taken into custody and charged with attempted second-degree murder, and aggravated battery.
