COLUMBUS, OHIO

30-year old, Trenise Breanne Turner, of Columbus, has been charged with endangering a child, and violence by assault charges, after she allegedly, drunkenly fired off a gunshot/gunshots. That struck her 5-year old son in both knees.

KIRO 7 News reported, that Turner was still locked up on the charges as of Tuesday night. Columbus Police Officials said, officers were called to Nationwide Children’s Hospital at around 5pm on Friday. Turner’s son was there being treated for his gunshot wounds. The incident report says, detectives determined that the 5-year old was lying on the couch next to his mother. Ms. Turner, who was intoxicated, and pointing her handgun at several adults inside the residence and making threats. As Turner was putting the weapon back into her purse, she reportedly fired one shot that struck the boy’s legs. The boy was taken to the hospital by family members. He is expected to undergo surgery for his wounds. Jail records indicate that no bond has been set for Turner as of yet.
