ALTOONA, IOWA

One person is dead and three more are hospitalized after a raft on the “Raging River” ride, at the Adventureland Amusement Park in Altoona.

KGO 7 San Francisco reported, The incident occurred around 7:35 p.m. on July 3rd. Park security and staff said the ride had six passengers on board when it overturned. Adventure Park officials said the ride had been inspected the day before the incident. Their initial inspection found everything to be in good working order. An investigation into Saturday night’s incident is ongoing.
