TRIPLE SHOOTING AT WEST PHILLY COOKOUT LEAVES 2 DEAD AND 1 MORE IN THE HOSPITAL

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA

A triple shooting at a fourth Of July barbecue took the lives of two people and left another person injured.

23-year old entrepreneur Sicarr Johnson Jr.

According to a report from 6ABC Philly, witnesses said they thought the gunshots were fireworks as they headed to 60th & Sansom Streets to watch the 4th Of July fireworks at around 10:30 pm. People started running when they realized the loud bangs were actually gunshots and not fireworks. One of the victims reportedly owned a clothing store in West Philly. 23-year old Sicarr Johnson Jr. was the owner and creator of Premiere Brand. the 23-year old was also a father, husband, son, and brother. Johnson threw the barbecue for his community to celebrate the 4th Of July, which coincides with the 1-year anniversary of the opening of the Premiere Brand Store. Family and friends said Sicarr always helped people.

Police ran out of evidence markers as they attempted to track the over 100 rounds that were fired. Sicarr’s 21-year old friend was also killed in the shooting. A 16-year old girl was the third shooting victim. She survived, and was last listed in stable condition at an undisclosed hospital. As of now there is no word on a motive or suspect(s).
