MAN IN CRITICAL CONDITION AFTER BEING SHOT IN OVERBROOK

Philadelphia Police say a man is in critical condition after being shot in the Overbrook section of the city on Sunday afternoon. According to a report from CBS-3 PHILLY, the shooting happened on the 900 block of Edgemore Road at around 2:07 p.m.

According to the report, the 24-year old man was shot once in the back. He was taken to the hospital by private vehicle, where he was last reported to be in critical condition.

4 MASKED MEN ROB NORTH PHILLY GAS STATION; GET AWAY WITH $25,000

Philadelphia Police say they are investigating a reported armed robbery at a gas station on Saturday night. A 6 ABC ACTION NEWS report said, the robbery happened at the Exxon Station located on the 4200 block of Whitaker Avenue, at around 7p.m. in the Feltonville section of the city.

According to police, three armed men wearing masks, were casing the gas station before they entered. The gas station reportedly has gambling machines inside. As an employee was removing money from the safe, the robbers made their move. They made off with about $25,000 in cash according to the police report. No one was reported injured in the robbery. No arrests have been made at this time.

1 WOMAN & 2 JUVENILES ARRESTED AFTER ATTEMPTED CARJACKING AT WILLOW GROVE MALL

A woman who has been identified as Nisira Wilson of Philadelphia (No age given), and two juvenile accomplices were arrested for an attempted carjacking in the Bloomindale’s parking lot of the Willow Grove Mall on Friday afternoon. According to a report from Fox-29 Philly, the incident happened at around 4:30 p.m. as the victim was parking her car.

According to a police report, the victim told police that she’d been confronted by three suspects who dragged her out of her vehicle and threw her to the ground. As one of the suspects attempted to take control of the car, the woman attempted to call police. At that point, the woman was assaulted by the other two suspects.

The three suspects ended up fleeing on foot. They were observed by an Abington Police Officer who pursued the trio through the mall and up to the third floor parking lot. A short foot chase ensued. All three were apprehended on the second floor of the mall.

The victim received treatment for minor bumps and bruises. The three suspects were all still in police custody, at last report.

DRIVER SHOOTS 16-YEAR OLD ATTEMPTING TO CARJACK HIM IN MT. AIRY

A 16-year old was shot by a driver he was attempting to carjack on Thursday night. 6 ABC ACTION NEWS reported that the incident happened on the 6500 block of Cherokee Street in West Mt. Airy, at around 7:30 p.m.

Police identified the attempted carjacking victim as, 60-year old Oliver Neal, who described the incident to reporters on the scene. Neal said he was approached by two young males as he was exiting his vehicle. One of whom had a gun.

“He said ‘give me the keys’. By then I had my hand on my weapon and saw him tighten his grip and I knew I had to shoot. I think he shot first, but I don’t know. All I know is we went back and forth. I started shooting and next thing I know, he hops across the street, drops to the ground….I just kept shooting. The Lord was protecting me. Soon after, I was thanking Jesus for my life.”

The 60-year old told reporters. Police said the 17-year old suspect is in the hospital, and was last reported to be in critical condition. Police said they found the teen sitting in a Jeep, suffering from his gunshot wounds. The jeep the 17-year old was reportedly found in, had been stolen from a victim in a separate carjacking last weekend.

17-YEAR OLD GIRL DEAD AFTER SHOOTING IN MT. AIRY

Philadelphia Police say a 17-year old girl is dead after a shooting in East Mt. Airy on Friday night. 6 ABC ACTION NEWS reported that police learned about the victim when they received a call to respond to Chestnut Hill Hospital at around 9 p.m. After investigation, police discovered that the shooting victim was a 17-year old girl who had been shot four times, including once in the head.

The girl was pronounced dead a short time later. Police learned that the girl’s shooting happened on the 6600 block of Ross Street. The victim was allegedly sitting in the passenger’s seat of a white Toyota, with three other occupants in the car. Suddenly a dark-colored SUV pulled up alongside the parked Toyota, someone from inside the SUV, opened fire on the Toyota, hitting the 17-year old girl multiple times in the process.

Police believe the teen was caught in the crossfire, and not the intended target inside of the Toyota. No arrests have been made so far, but police say they believe the incident may have been captured on surveillance video from a neighbor’s house or local business.

26-YEAR OLD WOMAN SHOT MULTIPLE TIMES AT SHOPPING CENTER

Police in Baltimore County, MD said, they were called to a report of a shooting on the 5400 block of Baltimore National Park. According to a report from WBAL-TV 11 BALTIMORE, police say they found a woman who had been shot multiple times.

Police said the woman was found inside of an SUV parked in the Catonsville Plaza parking lot. She was reportedly suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The woman was later identified as 26-year old, Diamond Truehart. Police said Truehart died from her wounds at the scene. The SUV she was found in was surrounded by other vehicles in the shopping center when Truehart was discovered by police at 1 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.

Investigators said they were looking into whether Diamond was targeted, or if the shooting was the result of something else.

SHOOTING OUTSIDE OF NEW JERSEY WAWA LEAVES MAN DEAD

VINELAND, N.J.

Police in Vineland, New Jersey, said they were investigating a shooting outside of a Wawa store that left one man dead. 6 ABC ACTION NEWS reported that the incident happened at the store on Park Avenue & Delsea Drive, late on Thursday night.

Officers arrived to find the victim (who has been identified as 23-year old Luis Rivera from Vineland) dead from gunshot wounds. Investigators believe Rivera was shot as he was leaving the store. The report did not speak of any suspects or motive.
