Police said the assault turned murder, happened inside of an office building on the block, after an alleged argument between a man and a woman. According to the police report, a male suspect attacked a 31-year old woman with a pipe. The woman was rushed to the hospital. She died from her injuries shortly after arrival. Police don’t have an official motive as of this reporting, but Action News said they spoke with “sources” who told them, “they believe the dispute was over rent.”
The woman’s identity remains unknown to the public at this time. The male suspect is currently in police custody.
The Biden Administration announced on Wednesday that they will be making 400 million N95 Masks available to Americans for free beginning next week. CNN reported that a Biden official said the move was made in an attempt to get the latest Covid -19 surge (Omicron) under control.
The masks will reportedly be available at a number of local pharmacies and community health centers, according to the White House official. The program will be reportedly be “fully up and running by early February.” The official also said “This is the largest deployment of Personal Protective Equipment in United States history.”
You ready for the next round of snow? Ready or not…..it’s coming. As a matter of fact, CBS-3 PHILLY, just reported that we’re supposed to get another round of snow starting tonight. The snow will reportedly begin as rain this evening, and turn into snow sometime tonight, and last into Thursday afternoon.
We’re supposed to be expecting around 1-3 inches total, which is not a lot, but will likely be enough to make morning rush hour a lot less rush…and a lot more…… hours?(waiting in traffic). Bad joke, I admit, but in all seriousness……….. be careful out there in the morning!
Philadelphia Police say they are searching for the suspect they say, shot and killed a man inside of a convenience store, in the city’s West Oak Lane section, on Tuesday night. 6 ABC ACTION NEWS, was at the scene shortly afterward, and reported that the shooting happened on the 7200 block of 72nd Avenue at around 7 p.m.
Police say a 30-year old man was gunned down by a suspect wearing a Nike hoodie, inside of the convenience store. The security cameras at the business caught the entire shooting. According to police, there were 14 shots fired inside of the convenience store. There were at least 10 other people inside of the store at the time of the shooting. Police believe the 30-year old man was the target of the shooting.
“Most of the spent shell casings are just feet (away) and some are just inches away from where the victim is lying. The shooter walked right up to this victim and fired multiple shots. You see the shooter run towards the front door of the property, then turn around and he runs back to the victim who is lying on the floor of the store. And when the shooter runs back, he stands over the victim and fires a second string of shots from point-blank range.”
Said Philadelphia Chief Inspector, Scott Small. Police say no weapon has been recovered and no one has been arrested so far.
Two men suspected in the murder of Rapper Young Dolph, have been arrested and charged with murdering Dolph, who was shot and killed in broad daylight while he was buying cookies from a local shop. TMZ reported that 23-year old, Justin Johnson, was apprehended in Indiana by U.S. Marshals on January 11th.
A manhunt was underway for Johnson after he failed to turn himself in to police on Monday, per an agreement made by Johnson and his lawyer. Johnson decided to release a new music video under his rap name “Straight Drop.” Johnson is facing charges of first-degree murder and theft of property between $10,000 – $60,000.
32-year old, Cornelius Smith was also arrested for the murder of Young Dolph. He was arrested on the same day as Johnson. Smith and Johnson were allegedly the two gunmen who pulled up to Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies in Memphis, driving a white Mercedes Benz, back in November. The two men then allegedly went up to the window and opened fire, killing Dolph. Memphis Police found the getaway car in the Orange Mound neighborhood in Southeast Memphis, three days after the shooting.
Philadelphia Police say they are searching for the gunmen who killed a teenager, and open fired on a house with multiple children inside. According to a report from 6 ABC PHILLY, said the shooting happened on the 2600 block of North Hutchinson Street, in North Philly at around 6:30 p.m. on Monday evening.
Officers said they arrived to find a 16-year old male on the sidewalk, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The teen was rushed to Temple University Hospital. He was pronounced dead a short time later. Police say a house across the street from where the teen was found, was also riddles with bullets.
Police say at least 10 bullets entered the home that was occupied by four children, and one adult at the time of the shooting. Luckily, no one inside the home was injured. Police say they believe the teen was the intended target. They also said there is video showing the shooters intentionally firing into the home. According to police, at least 20 shots were fired from two weapons, one of the weapons use was allegedly a rifle.
“The front seat driver and the front seat passenger both get out. You can clearly see the front seat passenger had a rifle in his possession, and then you see some movement walking around. And you can clearly see shots being fired into that house.”
Said Philadelphia Chief Inspector, Scott Small. The teenage victim has not been identified. No arrests have been made so far.
Philadelphia Police say they are searching for the person responsible for killing a 65-year old man, on Sunday night. According to a report from PHL.17.com, The shooting happened at around 7:22 p.m. on the 3700 block of North Bouvier Street.
The unidentified man was shot in the head, according to the report. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another shooting on Sunday evening, left a 17-year old in stable condition after being shot 3 times. The PHL-17 report said, the shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. on the 4100 block of Frankford Avenue. The boy was rushed to Temple Hospital by private vehicle, after being shot in the thigh three times. The teen was last reported to be in stable condition.
