A 7-year old girl was shot in the arm when a gunman opened fire on the car the child was riding in last night in North Philadelphia.

A report from Fox-29 Philadelphia said the shooting happened on the 3000 block of North Marshal Street at around 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday night.
The child was rushed to the hospital after being shot in the arm. She was rushed to Temple University Hospital to be treated. Doctors said the bullet went through the child’s arm, breaking it in the process. They said the child is going to be ok physically. A possible motive for the shooting was not reported.
Police said the shooter fired a total of six shots. Three of them struck the car. Two of the shooters’ bullets went through the driver’s door, the third hit the child who was seated in the back of the car on the driver’s side. No suspects were named and no arrests have been made at this time.
