A 16-year old boy was reportedly shot and critically wounded in the Port Richmond section of the city this evening. A 15-year old suspect is currently in police custody.
A report from 6-ABC Action News said the shooting happened on the 3100 block of Gaul Street at around 6:45 p.m. on Monday evening.
First arriving police officers at the scene reported finding the victim suffering from a gunshot to the face. Police rushed the teen to St. Christopher’s Hospital For Children where he was last reported to be in critical condition. A possible motive for the shooting was not reported.
A 15-year old, who police say is known by the victim, was taken into police custody.
