55-year old, Sean “Diddy” Combs was sentenced to serve a little more than 4-years in prison by a judge in a federal courtroom in Manhattan, New York, this afternoon.
A report from Yahoo! said District Court Judge, Arun Subramanian, sentenced Combs to 50 months in prison to be followed by 5-years of supervised release when he gets out of prison. He was also ordered to pay a fine of $500,000.
Diddy’s lawyers were asking for a sentence of no more than 14 months behind bars. Federal prosecutors were asking for a prison sentence of 11-years behind bars, and to impose the maximum fine of $500,000.
Diddy was found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Charges related to Comb’s former girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Diddy was facing as much as 20-years behind bars for the conviction.
Combs asked for “mercy” from the judge before being sentenced. He called his actions “disgusting”, “shameful” and “sick”.
