Four police officers were reportedly injured during a scuffle with a robbery suspect in the Hunting Park section of the city this afternoon.

A report from NBC-10 Philly said the incident happened at the Ace Checks Cashed located at the intersection of Broad Street & Roosevelt Boulevard at around 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.
Two police officers initially responded to a call of a robbery in progress at the location. Two more officers arrived shortly afterward for backup. Officers and the suspect got into an altercation and at some point the suspect and one of the police officers went flying through the front window of a nearby business, according to a witness. One of the police officers received stitches following the altercation.
The suspect was accused of attempting to cash a fake check. Employees at the business said the suspect had cashed multiple fraudulent checks at the same location multiple times in the past month. Injuries suffered by the other three officers was not reported. No word was given on the suspect’s injuries either.
