An unidentified, 42-year old man was reportedly shot multiple times and critically wounded in the Frankford section of the city this morning.
A report from NBC-10 Philly said the shooting happened on the 4600 block of Torresdale Avenue shortly after midnight on Tuesday morning.
First arriving police officers at the scene reported finding the victim unconscious on the sidewalk and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to both legs. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was last reported to be in critical condition. A possible motive for the shooting was not reported.
Police said at least 20 shell casings were recovered from the scene. Surveillance videos shows at least four individuals fleeing the scene after the shooting, according to police. No suspects were named and no arrests have been made at this time.
