A suspected cockfighting operation in the city’s Kensington section of the city was reportedly raided by police this afternoon.
A report from 6-ABC Action News said police executed a search warrant on the 3100 block of Weymouth Street at around 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities said they recovered 35 roosters and 10 hens from the property. Police said 19 of the animals recovered were taking part in the fighting. Police didn’t say how they got the drop on the operation.
The report did not say if anyone was arrested in the raid on the property.
