52-year old, part-time Milbourne Borough Police Officer, Mark Mackrell, from Coatesville, was reportedly arrested yesterday and accused of taking inappropriate pictures and videos of minors.

A report from 6-ABC Action News said that a criminal complaint shows that the alleged crime occurred on July 23rd at the YMCA on Airport Road.
Police said two girls aged 13 and 14 reported to the YMCA that they’d been filmed while at the swimming pool the day before. When lifeguards at the YMCA approached Mackrell and asked for identification, he refused to show ID, but produced his police badge and identified himself as a police officer.
Mackrell was quickly identified after the lifeguards informed the police. Mackrell denied taking any photos, but a search of his phone revealed that he had videos and pictures of 11 girls dating back to 2024. Police said in some of the photos the girls were wearing bathing suits and Mackrell zoomed in on their private parts and took pictures. Investigators said Mackrell’s voice could be heard making sexual comments about the juveniles in the videos. The youngest victim was reported to be 8-years old.
Mackrell has been administratively suspended from the Milbourne Police Department effective July 31 while charges are pending. Mackrell is facing charges of photographing a sexual act, stalking, unlawful contact with minors, and related offenses.
