20-year old, Zaakir McClendon was arrested on Wednesday and charged in connection with the murder of a 16-year old boy in North Philadelphia in April of 2023.
A report from Fox-29 Philadelphia said the 16-year old was shot multiple times on the 2300 block of Montgomery Avenue in North Philly on April 13th, 2023. The juvenile was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
Police said they recovered over two-dozen shell-casings from two different weapons at the scene. A possible motive for the shooting was not reported.
McClendon was charged with murder, weapons charges, and related offenses.
