An armored truck was reportedly robbed in the Holmesburg section of the city this afternoon.
A report from 6-ABC Action News said the robbery happened outside of the Dollar General located at Frankford Avenue & Ashburner Street at around noon on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said three suspects robbed a Brinks Truck for around $3,000 and they took the driver’s gun. No injuries were reported. The suspects were seen fleeing the scene in a silver Honda.
Police said this is the third armored truck robbery in the same area, in the past two weeks.
