A man believed to be in his 60’s was reportedly struck by a vehicle and killed in North Philadelphia early this morning.

A report from 6-ABC Action News said the incident happened along the 2700 block of Broad Street at around 12:15 a.m. on Monday morning.

Police said the man was hit while crossing Broad Street against the light. The vehicle did not stop. Police reported finding personal items of the victims’ at the scene and car parts. The victim was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time after arriving.

Police said they have a partial description of the vehicle in question. Police said they are looking for a black SUV, possibly a Buick or Chevy. The vehicle was reportedly last seen heading towards West Lehigh Avenue.
