A report from 6-ABC Action News said the shooting happened on the 4900 block of B Street at around 3:25 p.m. on Monday afternoon.
Police said another boy was playing with a gun in the basement when it went off and hit the 13-year old boy. He was shot in the left side of the face. The teen was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he was last reported to be in critical condition.
No other injuries were reported. No other details have been released at this time.
