A report from NBC-10 Philly said police were called to the intersection of Hancock & Lippincott Streets at around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday night for a call of a shooting in the area.
First responding police officers at the scene reported finding the victim lying in the street suffering from gunshot wounds to his head, neck, chest, torso and legs. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead later on in the night.
Police said nearby surveillance cameras captured the shooting as it unfolded. A dark colored SUV appeared at the intersection and four individuals jumped out of the vehicle and opened fire north on Hancock Street, according to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector, Scott Small.
At least 30-shell casings were recovered at the scene. No arrests have been made at this time and no weapons were recovered.
