A report from Fox-29 Philly said the shooting happened in the area of H & West Morton Streets at around 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
Two officers were patrolling the intersection when they heard gunshots. Officers spotted a man standing up the block holding a gun in his hands. Police approached the man and took him into custody. While arresting the 28-year old suspect, police discovered a man lying between two parked cars. He was unresponsive and suffering from two gunshot wounds to the head. The victim was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
Two other suspects were arrested at the scene. Just like the first suspect, police spotted the pair holding guns in their hands. Police recovered three handguns altogether. The two suspects are currently being held on weapons offenses and as persons of interest in the shooting.
