A four car crash in the Frankford section of the city last night left a 5-year old boy in one of the cars in critical condition.

PHILADELPHIA, P.A: A 5-YEAR OLD BOY IS IN CRITICAL CONDITION AFTER A CAR HE WAS IN WAS INVOLVED IN A 4-CAR CRASH IN FRANKFORD ON MONDAY EVENING/PHOTO: 6-ABC ACTION NEWS

A report from 6-ABC Action News said the incident happened near the intersection of Aramingo Avenue & James Street at around 7:30 p.m. on Monday evening.

Police said the injured 5-year old child was in the car with his mother when she reportedly crashed into three other vehicles. It is not known if the child was wearing a seatbelt at the time. The child was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was last reported to be in extremely critical condition.

No charges have been filed at this time. The crash is under investigation.
