A report from 6-ABC Action News said the couple were struck by a route 64 bus near the intersection of Front Street & Washington Avenue at around 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening.
Police said the couple were attempting to cross Front Street when they were hit by the bus. The male was reportedly dragged under the bus.
“With the help of I believe the victim’s wife, they removed him from under the bus and the sergeant did CPR but was unable to bring him back” said Lt. Gregory Brown From the C.R.A.S.H division.
The victim’s wife was taken to Temple University Hospital where she was last reported to be in stable condition. No passengers on the bus were reported injured. Investigators are searching surveillance videos as they continue to search for more information about the accident.
