A report from Radar online.com said the incident happened at Ross Correctional Institution on Christmas morning.
The inmate responsible for the attack has been identified as Rashawn Cannon, who was serving time after being convicted of 2nd degree felonious assault and 3rd degree weapon disability charges. He had a release date of August 5, 2030.
The incident is under investigation.
