A report from 6-ABC Action News said the incident happened on the 2700 block of North Dover Street at around 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
The victim was rushed to Temple University Hospital where she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
Police said a weapon was recovered at the scene, but no arrests have been made at this time.
