More than 20-people were shot during multiple shootings across the city over this past weekend. Four of the victims were reportedly killed.

A report from 6-ABC Action News said city officials announced that the 24-people shot this weekend were the result of 11-different shootings across the city.

Philadelphia Mayor, Cherelle Parker and top officials in the city held a press conference this morning to speak on the violent weekend. During a passionate speech, Mayor Parker said the violence in the city is something that she takes personally.

“We cannot and will not rest until every resident in every neighborhood feels safe in their homes, going to school, or walking in their community” Mayor Parker said.
