A 24-year old man was reportedly shot on a SEPTA bus after harassing multiple passengers aboard the bus over the weekend.

A report from 6-ABC Action News said the shooting happened aboard the route 39 bus as it temporarily stopped on the 1600 block of Dauphin Street at around 10:30 p.m. on Friday night.

Police said the 24-year old passenger boarded the bus at 33rd Street and began harassing the driver and other passengers. The driver stopped the bus on the 1600 block of Dauphin Street and called the police. As the 24-year old continued harassing passengers he was shot in the foot by another passenger. The 24-year old man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was last reported to be in stable condition.

Police said they are looking for the shooter who walked away after the shooting. He was described as “possibly in his 50’s” and wearing a black hat and jacket. Police said the bus’s surveillance cameras captured the entire incident.
