A report from 6-ABC Action News said the shooting happened in the area of City Avenue & Presidential Blvd. at around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday night.
Police said the victim had just finished his shift at a nearby Chipotle Restaurant when a car struck his vehicle. The victim’s car hit a SEPTA bus after being struck. That was when multiple suspects exited the vehicle that hit the victim’s, and opened fire on him. At least 20-shots were fired at the victim’s vehicle, according to police. The suspects fled the scene and the victim managed to run across the street to the restaurant and get help. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he was last reported to be in serious condition.
Police said the SEPTA bus was also hit by gunfire. No one on the bus was injured. Police said the suspects sat in a car lying in wait for the victim before the shooting after his shift. No suspects were named and no arrests have been made at this time.
