A report from 6-ABC Action News said the incident happened at the Castor Gardens Middle School located along the 1800 block of Cottman Avenue at around noon on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the incident began when the 11-year old pulled a knife from his bag while in the classroom.
“The other students notified the teachers. Two teacher’s aides went over and disarmed the student. While they did that, they were cut superficially”, said Deputy Commissioner, Frank Vanore.
The two female victims aged 31 and 61 suffered cuts to the stomach and arms. No students were injured during the incident. Police said the 11-year old suffers from developmental issues.
