A report from 6-ABC Action News said the shooting happened on the 2500 block of 29th Street at around 5:00 p.m. on Sunday evening.
First arriving police officers at the scene reported finding the teen suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach. She was rushed to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children where she was last reported to be in stable condition. A possible motive for the shooting was not reported.
No suspects were named and no arrests have been made at this time.
