DonateDonate monthlyDonate yearly20-year old, Ameen Hurst, who made headlines last year after escaping from a jail on state road, and remaining on the run for a week and a half before being captured, pleaded guilty to four murders and a host of other crimes yesterday.

A report from The Philadelphia Inquirer said Hurst pleaded guilty to 28-counts as he sat shackled to a wooden chair in the courtroom on Friday.
Hurst plead guilty to four homicides, escape from prison, firearms charges, conspiracy and a host of other charges Hurst stockpiled as part of a gang..who was affiliated with a gang who was at war with another gang. Hurst was arrested and charged with the four murders in 2021 when he was just 16-years old.
Hurst and another inmate, Nasir Grant, escaped from the Philadelphia Industrial Correction Center (P.I.C.C) in May of 2023. Grant was captured and returned to prison four days after the escape. Hurst managed to evade capture for 10 days before being arrested. Hurst allegedly recorded and released a rap song speaking about the murders during the ten days he was on the lam.
Hurst is scheduled to be sentenced in two weeks.
