A report from 6-ABC Action News said the woman was found shot in the leg at 6th Street & Lehigh Avenue at around 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
Police found evidence that a shootout had taken place about a half block away on Marshal Street & Lehigh Avenue. She was taken to Temple University Hospital by police where she was last reported to be in stable condition. A bullet from the shootout also reportedly went through a 2nd floor window of a nearby apartment nearly missing the female occupant, who was in bed sleeping at the time of the shooting.
Police said the shootout was captured by nearby surveillance cameras. No suspects were named and no arrests have been made at this time.
