A report from NBC-10 Philly said the stabbing happened on the 2600 block of Kensington Avenue at around 3:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
First responding police officers at the scene reported finding the 16-year old male victim stabbed once in the back. The victim was transported to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children where he was last reported to be in stable condition. A possible motive for the stabbing was not reported.
The suspect was described as thin build, wearing a black hoodie that had white designs on it. Witnesses told police the suspect was last seen heading towards Cumberland Street. No arrests have been made at this time.
