A report from 6-ABC Action News said the incident happened on the 2200 block of Emerald Street at around 11:00 p.m. on Sunday night.
Police investigators said the teen, along with another person approached a man on the street, flashed the fake gun, and then attempted to rob the victim, who just happened to be carrying a real gun. The victim fired on the teen, hitting him in the leg. The teen was taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children where he was last reported to be in stable condition.
The victim remained at the scene and was being interviewed by police. Police said the incident was captured by a neighbor’s Ring Camera. Criminal charges for the teen were not made available at this time.
