A report from 6-ABC Action News said the shooting happened on the second floor hallway of a home located on the 2800 block on North Bailey Street in North at around 7:35 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
First arriving police reported finding the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. Police say the 13-year old girl was at the house with other relatives visiting friends.
No weapons were found at the scene and no arrests have been made at this time.
