An ambulance was reportedly hit and turned on its side by a speeding vehicle in Northeast Philadelphia early this morning, leaving three medics injured.

A report from Fox-29 Philly said the crash happened at the intersection of Adams & Whitaker Avenues at around 5:00 a.m on Wednesday morning.

Police said they believe the driver of a red sedan blew a red light and hit the ambulance, causing it to flip on its side. Three medics inside of the ambulance were taken to Albert Einstein Hospital to be treated for minor injuries. The driver of the sedan refused medical treatment.

No charges have been reported at this time.
