Philadelphia Police said an illegal turn led to a three car crash that left one person dead on Kelly Drive yesterday.

A report from 6-ABC Action News said the crash happened when a Nissan Altima mad an illegal turn on Kelly Drive and crossed the Northbound lanes onto Resorvoir Drive at around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.

The Altima clipped a white Nissan Rogue, which then hit a black BMW, causing the vehicle to spin out of control. The 41-year old male driver of the Altima was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. At least 5-other people were injured in the crash.

Kelly Drive was closed between Hunting Park Ave and Green Drive, for hours after the crash before opening back up to traffic later in the evening. No charges have been filed.
