Two teenagers have been accused of shooting and wounding an unidentified man while attempting to rob him in the Wynnefield section of the city last night. According to reports the legal gun owner, who was being robbed, shot and injured one of the attempted robbers during the incident, also.

A report from 6-ABC Action News said the shooting happened on the 1200 block of 41st Street at around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday night.

First arriving police officers at the scene reported finding a man suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest and arm. He told authorities that two young men had attempted to rob him. The victim said he exchanged gunfire with the suspects. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he was last reported to be in stable condition.

The suspects reportedly fled the scene after the shooting. Awhile later, police located a vehicle with two 16-year old boys inside. One of them were suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. One of the teens were taken to jail and the other was taken to a nearby hospital. His current condition was not reported.

Police said they believe the two teens may be connected to multiple robberies in the area.
