39-year old, business owner, Trevor Hunt, is facing multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance, after a dog died at his grooming business in Gloucester County, New Jersey, last week.

A report from 6-ABC Action News said Woodbury Police Officers were called to K9 Kingdom located on the 500 block of Woodbury-Glassboro Road at around 1:00 p.m. on July 12th.
A regular customer at the business got a call from Hunt saying that her 3-year old Border Collie-Australian Shepherd had died in his care.
“He said that she had just suddenly passed and that her heart just stopped, which didn’t make sense to me because she isn’t even 4-years old”, said Ashley Jenkins, the owner of the Border Collie.
Jenkins immediately called the police, who arrived shortly afterward. First responding officers said Hunt became tense and attempted to delete files from his phone as they talked. He was then taken to the ground after resisting arrest. A search warrant was issued to search the property later that evening. Police said they found dozens of small plastic bags labeled “Alien Rock” & “House Party III” believed to be heroin.
Hunt has been charged with tampering with evidence, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He is being held at the Salem County Jail pending a detention hearing.
